Eating out in Sweden can be expensive if you only eat in the evening. If you are on a budget you are better going for lunch. As most Swedes work. It is very common for them to eat out at lunch time. This saves having to cook a large meal in the evening. So in the larger cities and towns you can have a excellent choice of restaurants to choose from. A fixed price meal generally consists of salad starter (usually from a self service buffet), a main course and a drink. Which can usually include a soft drink or light beer (lätt öl). The salad starter may only be shredded lettuce and a dressing. This will typically cost between 50-60 SKr (about £4.00 GBP). |
